Lugol’s Solution of Iodine with glycerin 1%
Lugol’s iodine (also known as Lugol’s solution) was developed by the French physician Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol, who first prepared a mixture of iodine and potassium iodide in water as an antiseptic and disinfectant. Since then, it has been considered a source of iodine — an element important for proper thyroid function.

Composition (equivalent to USP grade or higher):

iodine – 1%
potassium iodide – 2%
glycerin – 94%
water – 3%

Volume: 100 mL or 50ml, 1% concentration.
